A day-long mindfulness retreat designed to deepen into loving awareness, lightness and curiosity
Mindfulness Day Retreat is an opportunity to explore the practice of mindfulness meditation in a deep and continuous way, with loving and careful support.
The day will consist of periods of sitting meditation, walking meditation, mindful movement such as gentle yoga and Qi Gong and mindful communication. The sessions will be carefully guided in the beginning, with time for silence included also. There is no previous retreat experience required for this event and it is perfect for beginners and advanced students alike.
The Retreat is designed to cultivate loving awareness so that we can witness our present moment experience with a non-judgmental and curious attitude, opening to lightness, joy and wonder. We will explore what the foundations of Mindfulness are, how we practice bringing our awareness to each of these foundations. As we do so, we will be practicing patience, non-judgement and acceptance of life and ourselves as we are.
Included in your retreat will be a delicious catered lunch with morning and afternoon tea and a hearty batch of scrumptious vegan chai. Dietary requirements and preferences will be catered for- just let us know what you need.

Dana is the Pali word (the language of the Buddha) that translates to generosity. Offering dana is a 2500 year old practice that dates back to the time of the Buddha. It honours that the teachings are priceless, and therefore are offered freely. In return, you can offer generosity, or Dana to the teacher.
For this retreat I am offering either option to you. For many who have never come across this practice, it is simpler to just pay a fee for “service”. However, it is my pleasure to offer these teachings freely, and have you offer Dana at the end.
With Dana, all you pay for is the cost of your place- ie catering, venue hire and administration- which is approximately $75 per person for this retreat. Then you would offer any amount of Dana on top of that amount. There is no recommended amount, rather it is an opportunity for you to reflect on your relationship with generosity and to offer what feels right. It could be $1 or it could be $1000.
Dana allows those with less resources to pay less, and those with more to pay more. It is a beautiful practice that I encourage you to try. Please contact me should you like to use the Dana option and I will send you a link to cover the cost of your place. Dana itself will be offered at the end of the day.
It is my policy that no one be turned away due to lack of financial resources, so please contact me if you need support.
